The Hikage Story

We come from a family of jewelers who have worked and thrived in the gemstone & jewelry business since 2007, and we bring this business experience with us into all aspects of what we do.

We have been crafting fine engagement rings from our studio in the heart of Tokyo since 2002. We proudly remain a small, family-owned business and uphold strict standards in who we choose to do business with―in particular, how we source our metals (recycled) and gemstones (conflict-free). By working with a trusted network of diamond suppliers, we can also ensure that our designs are set with the best stones.

During this journey, it has often been necessary to look back in order to move forward, which might be the simplest way to articulate the philosophy of Hikage jewelry. Hikage jewelry is on a journey to understated elegance, simplicity, and excitement through the creation of heirloom jewelry that transcends times and lasts for generations, and the products and collections that are born in our Atelier are our most honest attempts at reaching those goals.

Attention to Details

Hikage jewelry is masterfully made by hand in Japan using precious gems and metals. The gold is custom-blended to  Hikage’s specifications and is exclusive to our brand. Precious gemstones cutting, milgrain edges and other finishing touches are all applied by hand, and the use of traditional crafting techniques emphasizes the beauty of our natural materials.

Having its roots in Japanese heritage of incomparable craftsmanship and understated elegance, Hikage jewelry was founded as a response. No harmful chemicals are used in the Hikage jewelry production process. All jewels are handcrafted with gemstones and diamonds that are handpicked and handset, and produced in limited quantities to ensure minimal environmental impact.
